An Apple AirTag is a coin-sized tracker that drops into a bag and reports back to your iPhone. The four-pack is one for every checked bag in a family. It pairs in a single tap and then lives in the Find My app on your phone.
31.9 mm across, and a battery you can change
Apple lists the AirTag at 31.9 mm across, 8 mm thick and 11 grams. It runs on a user-replaceable CR2032 coin cell that lasts about a year. The body is rated IP67, which Apple defines as one metre of water for up to thirty minutes. Setup is a one-tap pair with an iPhone or iPad. The tag then lives in the Find My app. There is a speaker inside for the last few feet. Precision Finding uses the U1 Ultra Wideband chip. It works on iPhone 11 and later, apart from the iPhone SE and the 16e. The tag needs an Apple Account and iOS or iPadOS 14.5 or later. This pack is the first-generation AirTag, and Apple has since released a second generation.
The bag that never left the airport
